Reading's City Park Hosts Celebration, Clean-Up On Earth Day
(Reading, PA) -- Reading city officials are offering a chance for residents to help with their Earth Day activities at City Park. Cleanup efforts start at 8 a.m. Saturday at the basketball courts. A free festival will also be held from noon until 6 p.m. that will include Native American music and dances, earth-friendly exhibits and kids' activities. East Penn Manufacturing will be collecting car batteries at the event and non-perishable food also will be accepted for the Helping Harvest food bank.
