Armed Student Let Into School
(Reading, PA) -- An investigation is underway after a student with a gun was let into Reading High School. Police say the incident happened Wednesday afternoon when one student let another inside the school through an unauthorized door. Berks County District Attorney John Adams says both juveniles have been taken into custody and credits the schools security team for quickly stopping the student with the gun. The high school is holding classes virtually today and tomorrow while the criminal investigation is performed at the school.
