Birdsboro's Twisters Elite All-Stars Place 13th In National Competition
(Berks County, PA) -- A cheerleading squad from Birdsboro has placed 13th in a national competition. Officials with the Twisters Elite All-Stars say the co-ed cheerleading team took to the mat at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in their first-ever D2 Summit earlier this month. They placed in the top half out of the 27 teams that were competing from around the country. All-star cheerleaders use stunts and tumbling as part of their routines, which coaches say take athletes to the next level beyond side-lines cheering.
