Donations Pour in for Four Family Members Who died in Crash

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Thousands of dollars have been donated to two GoFundMe accounts to help four family members who died in a collision on Interstate-81 last week. Officials say Grandmother Douangpee Amnatkeo, who was 54 and from Shippensburg, was driving a Chevrolet Equinox with her relatives Ericssan Kathpratoum, who was 13 and Samiane Bothrium, 37, both of Shippensburg; and Monthy Matnopaseuth, of Reading, who was the father of four. The family says the group was heading back Pennsylvania from a Lao New year festival in Tennessee when the crash happened. Virginia State Police say they were pulling a U-Haul trailer on Interstate 81 during a rainstorm, when the vehicle lost control and spun around. Organizers say the two GoFundMe accounts will cover the expenses of both a traditional Laotian funeral and an American funeral.
