Train Crossings in Berks County to get over $16M in Upgrades

(Reading, PA) -- Pennsylvania's U.S. Senators are announcing that over 16-million dollars has been set aside to help make rail crossings safer in the state. U.S. Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman say the grant stems from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The upgrades will be done at ten rail crossings between Pottstown and Boyertown. Officials with the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Berks say they'll provide a 20-percent match in funding for the project.
