Boil Water Notice Issued for Two Berks County Areas

(Reading, PA) -- Berks County residents in Birdsboro and neighboring Union Township are being advised to boil their water before drinking. The advisory was issued Wednesday by the Birdsboro Municipal Authority. It's not clear what has prompted the alert or how long it's expected to last. The advisory is in effect for Beacon Street, the entire west side of the borough, the east side of the borough from East Third Street to the northernmost border, and for most all customers in Union Township.
