Reading Man Arrested for Allegedly Slicing Ex-Girlfriend's Neck with Box Cutter
(Reading, PA) -- A Reading man remains in Berks County Prison for allegedly using a box cutter to slice the neck of his ex-girlfriend so deeply that she needed emergency surgery. Christopher Oliver, who is 53, has been jailed lieu of 100-thousand-dollars to await a hearing following his arraignment Sunday. Reading police charged him with aggravated and simple assault and reckless endangerment. Police say they found the victim at a stranger's apartment after she started banging on doors after the attack. Medical responders told police that the victim would have bled out, had she remained where the alleged attack happened.
