Reading Wants to Install Dozens of EV charging stations, Including at Pagoda
(Reading, PA) -- Reading officials say they'll ask for federal money to fund a plan to install 30 electric vehicle charging stations. They hope the stations will help revitalize the city by making it easier for more workers and visitors to come to Reading and also perhaps attract new residents. One of the proposed seven sites for the chargers would be the landmark Reading Pagoda. The over two-and-a-half million dollar grant would come from the federal Charging and Fueling Infrastructure program. Mayor Eddie Moran says the city will find out later this year whether Reading will get the funding.
