Reading Housing Authority Breaks Ground On Community Services Project

(Reading, PA) -- The Reading Housing Authority has broken ground on a new services center for residents of a public housing community. The ceremony was held late last week for the new Neighborhood Resource Center and Family Services Complex, located at 1001 Scott Street. Officials say it will provide community services for residents and neighbors of Oakbrook Homes that will help them be more self-sufficient. The new center will offer a food pantry, a small grocery store, and educational and vocational programs. A senior center and kitchen also will share office space with human service agencies, as well.
