Organizations Needed To Provide Emergency Shelter For Families
(Reading, PA) -- Berks County leaders are asking for help from organizations that might be able to provide emergency shelter this winter. Officials with the Berks Coalition to End Homelessness say one of the facilities they've depended on, the Code Blue Hotel, won't be available due to lack of funding. The leaders say the closure means that some 90 families won't have a place to stay this winter. They also say they can also provide technical assistance to groups to help them design an emergency shelter program.
