(Reading, PA) -- Penn State Health has signed an agreement to sell its Penn State Health St. Joseph properties in downtown Reading. The buildings at 640 Walnut Street and 145 North Sixth Street are being sold to Shuman Development Group, a locally-based real estate developer. Following the sale, which is expected to close in October, Penn State Health will become a tenant in the buildings. Officials with the healthcare system say none of their services offered at the Downtown Campus will be affected by the sale.
