>>Suspect in 1998 Reading Drive-By Death Taken into Custody in Mexico

(Reading, PA) -- A man who's been wanted as a homicide suspect in Reading for 25 years has been arrested in Mexico. City officials say Israel Mendoza, who is now 43, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and local law officers over the weekend. Mendoza was wanted for the death of Michele Lutz, who was killed in a drive-by shooting at Front and Elm streets in 1998. He was one of four suspects; two others were arrested that same year and pleaded guilty. The fourth suspect, Robert Radhames-Herrera, has not been captured.
