Heat Advisory In Effect Today For Berks County
(Reading, PA) -- Weather officials say a heat index advisory is set for today for Berks County and others in the region. It's in effect from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. tonight for Berks, Western Chester, and Western Montgomery Counties. The high will be near 95 today in these areas with humidity around 50-percent. Authorities say you should stay in an air-conditioned room and out of the sun if you're elderly or care for young children. They also say to take extra precautions if you have to work outside.
