Proceeds From New Thrift Store In Temple To Benefit Berks Non-Profits

(Reading, PA) -- Promoters say a new nonprofit thrift store will use its proceeds to give back to the Reading community. A spokeswoman for CommunityAid says over 50 percent of its profits are given to local churches as well as to organizations that address food security, mental health, addiction, veterans aid and children's services. Chavah Redmond says the store partners with about 20 non-profits in Berks County. The new store is located on Allentown Pike in Temple.
