Harrisburg Group Expands Mobile Shower Service for People who are Homeless

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The City of Refuge group in Harrisburg has received a grant that will allow them to expand their mobile showering service for homeless people. The 25-thousand-dollar grant from Community Aid will help the non-profit get a new mobile unit that has three showers. Leaders hope the new unit will allow them to let 20 people a shower in one day in a shorter amount of time, instead of just 12 people. The plan is for the new unit to be in use by this weekend.
