Nearly 60 Firefighters Recognized for Performance
(Reading, PA) -- The Reading Department of Fire and Rescue Services has conducted its annual Medal Day ceremonies. The event Saturday recognized fire department members for meritorious service at incidents over the previous 12 months. There were 56 fire department members recognized for their performance at eight incidents. Those included residential structure fires, medical emergencies and water rescues. Those were in addition to the R.M. Palmer chocolate factory explosion in West Reading.
