Police: Propane Leak Likely Culprit In House Explosion

(Berks County, PA) -- State Police say a house explosion Friday morning in North Heidelberg Township in Berks County was likely the result of a propane leak. The house exploded Friday morning on Stump Lane a little before 7 a.m., affecting a 44-year-old man and two dogs. All are expected to make a full recovery. A police spokesman said the home's basement was the likely source of the explosion and could have been caused by "nearly any event" like a spark or turning on a light switch.
