Shelter Wants to Help Pets Find Homes, at least for the Holidays

(Reading, PA) -- The Animal Rescue League of Berks County has opened applications for families who may be interested in fostering pets on a short-term basis during the holidays. Organizers say they want to help shelter pets enjoy the warmth and happiness of the season in the comfort of a home rather than at the shelter. The Pet Placement team will match the chosen caregivers with pets beginning Monday, then a selection of available adoptable pets will be available for families to take home starting December 23rd. They'll need to be returned January 2nd. Applications are still available through this weekend.
