Exeter Township Approves Tax Increase

(Berks County, PA) -- Exeter Township residents will see an increase in taxes in 2024. During a meeting Tuesday evening, the Exeter Township Board of Supervisors approved a 21-percent increase in real estate tax, meaning that for every 100-thousand-dollars of a property's value, around 443-dollars in real estate taxes will be assessed. The 2024 budget also includes increases in annual recycling fees, the street light tax and a real estate transfer tax.
