Mount Penn Hire Manager For First Time In Its 120-Year History

(Reading, PA) -- The borough of Mount Penn has hired a manager for the first time in its 120-year history. The borough council voted last month to have someone to administer their business after several years of discussion. Hunter Ahrens, a 27-year-old graduate student, was recently sworn in as borough manager. He formerly was an administrator at Brecknock Township and is also a former Exeter School Board member and township planning commission member. His salary is just under 71-thousand-dollars annually.
