Former Reading Mayor Transferred from Federal Prison
(Reading, PA) -- Reading's former mayor is being transferred from a federal prison in Kentucky to community confinement. That usually means a half-way house or home confinement but officials haven't commented on where Vaughn Spencer is now assigned specifically. He'd been serving an eight-year sentence for bribery at the facility near Ashland, Kentucky since his conviction six years ago. Spencer is still set to be released from federal custody in April of next year.
