Berks Libraries Prepare for Transition Next Week

(Reading, PA) - Berks County officials say you won't be able to access your library account for much of next week. A three-day catalog freeze scheduled for February 5th through 7th is being done so the county can upgrade to the SPARK catalog system used in many other places in the state. The freeze also will affect online borrowing requests. Library users may still check out books and get their materials that are on hold at the library. Patrons will be required to bring along their physical library card to complete all transactions. Officials say also, after the new system's in place on February 8th, your password will be reset to the last four digits of the phone number listed on your account.
