New Courtyard, Area Rehab Complete at 800 Penn Street
(Reading, PA) - A courtyard at 800 Penn Street in Reading is now open again. A big, new "READING" sign with a pagoda has been added for tourist appeal to the area in front of the Berks Community Health Center. Native trees and benches have also been installed. City leaders say the new stamped concrete surface make the area ADA compliant and also will allow for easier use of carts with wheels. Work on the project began in March of 2023 and the area was dedicated Monday.
