Reading Residents Honored in State Park, Forest Photo Contest
(Reading, PA) - Two Reading residents have won top honors in a statewide photography contest. It's a promotion of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. Dave Myers and Elizabeth Vanderhorst each got runner up nods in the People's Choice categories. Myers photo is of two blue and white Tree Swallows having a "conversation" at French Creek State Park, and Vanderhorst snapped a shot of her daughter at the Nolde Forest Environmental Educational Center. State officials say the 2024 contest is now open - it's theme is "Leap In."
