Activists Arrested
(Berks County, PA) -- Police say several peace activists have been taken into custody in Amity Township. The arrests were made Thursday morning as a protest was being held in front of Aydin Displays on Riga Lane. The company is a subsidiary of an Israel based technology company named Elbit Systems, which supplies weapons to Israel Defense Forces. The protestors say Elbit was profiting from the death and destruction in Gaza by producing weapons in Berks County. Police say seven people were arrested.
