Tradition Of Daniel Boone Day Continues In Berks County
(Reading, PA) -- A big celebration of Pennsylvania's 343rd birthday has been held in Berks County. The day was commemorated Sunday with events at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Exeter Township. It recognizes the day William Penn received his land grant for Pennsylvania from King Charles the Second of England in 1681. The celebration included an open house and a living history program that featured a variety of 18th Century demonstrations.
