Spring Township Police Offering Reward For Tips About Gunfight

(Reading, PA) -- The police chief in Spring Township is asking for tipsters to come forward who have information on a shooting that happened Friday night. Chief Stephen Powell says 18-year-old Ke'Sean Williams of Wyomissing has been charged with starting a gun fight with an assault-style weapon within a crowd of people. Prosecutors believe Williams tried to shoot an unidentified person at a house on West Lawn Avenue and was shot in the leg by someone who returned fire. Chief Powell says evidence shows there were several shooters and police are trying to identify those people. He says cash rewards for information are offered through Berks County's Crime Alert Tip line.
