Investigators Can't Determine Cause Of Fire At Martin's County Market

(Reading, PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police say their fire marshals have not been able to determine the cause of the blaze that destroyed Martin's Country Market last month. The fire broke out February 15th at the store in Ephrata Township. The investigating fire marshal says they couldn't find the cause due to the extensive damage. Over a million-dollars' worth of renovations had been done at the store in the past five months. Fire officials say it did not have a sprinkler system because they were not required when the store was built in 1983 and the location has remained "grandfathered in."
