Reading Falls To Central York In Boys Basketball Semifinal

(Reading, PA) -- Reading High's boys basketball season has ended with a loss to Central York. The defending champion Red Knights fell to Central York 79-65 in the P-I-A-A Class 6-A semifinal. It happened Tuesday night at Warwick High School in Lititz. Reading High senior and Berks Player of the Year Yadiel Cruz scored a team-high 21 points for the Red Knights and in doing that, eclipsed one-thousand-points over his career. With the win, Central York advances to the state final for the first time in their program history. The Panthers will face Parkland Saturday at 8 p.m. at Hershey's Giant Center.
