>Berks County Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Failure to Report Wages
(Berks County, PA) -- A Wyomissing man has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for tax crimes. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced the sentencing Tuesday for Yong Chun "Steven" Guo. He pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to defraud the United States. Prosecutors say he abused the use of cash to pay employees at his family-owned-and-operated restaurant. The IRS estimates that he failed to report nearly four-million-dollars in cash wages, and about 445-thousand dollars in unpaid payroll taxes. He also pleaded guilty to attempted tax evasion.
