Convicted Murder Gets 140 Years to Life in Prison

(Reading, PA) -- A man found guilty of conspiring to shoot and kill three people in Reading has been sentenced to 140 years-to-life in prison. The Berks County District Attorney's Office says Jairo [[ hy-ROW ]] Guerrero-Bautista was convicted in March of three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Prosecutors say he and Jonathan Torres and two unidentified men had planned to shoot and kill Marli Alonso, Omar Harris and Joel Cintrón in December of 2018. A news release says that because he was a minor at the time, the maximum possible sentence Guerrero-Bautista could have received on each count was 35 years to life in prison.
