Planning Commission Tables Plans for Iron Run Estates
(Reading, PA) -- Plans for a proposed housing subdivision in Lower Macungie Township have been tabled. The township's planning commission made that decision Tuesday night for Iron Run Estates, which would have called for 54 single-family homes on about 40 acres. Commissioners say they are concerned that traffic leaving the proposed development would have overloaded the Church Lane bridge because the single-lane structure can barely handle its current traffic load. The plan reportedly was tabled at the applicant's request. No date was given for when it might be resubmitted.
