Schools Receive Remainder of Security, Mental Health Funds

(Berks County, PA) -- Several school districts in Berks County are getting state help to improve security and students' mental health. They've been approved to receive nearly two-and-a-half-million-dollars in competitive state grants. The funds, being distributed by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency will also help fund programs for school staffers. The awards are the remainder of appropriated funds from the 2023-24 state budget. The recipients are the Berks Career and Technical Center, and the Boyertown, Brandywine Heights, Fleetwood, Governor Mifflin and Hamburg Districts.
