Streets Closed Around Crumbling Church In Reading
(Reading, PA) -- Streets have been closed around a former church building in Reading that is in danger of collapse. Roads were closed around the former St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church on Friday after the partial collapse of the building. Crews worked through the weekend to address safety concerns with the church at Perkiomen Avenue and Spruce Street. The church has been vacant for over a decade, and has been damaged by fires and squatters over the years.
