Police To Pass Out Steering Locks In Bern Township
(Bern Twp, PA) -- State Police are planning an event Saturday in Berks County to help Hyundai and Kia owners to protect their vehicles from theft. Troopers will be at the Harley Davidson dealership on Route 183 in Bern Township to pass out steering lock devices. Thefts of Hyundais and Kias increased over a thousand percent between 2020 and the first half of 2023 across the country. Many models do not have strong anti-theft technology, and thefts have soared since videos of how to steal them appeared online.
