Superintendent Of Boyertown Area Schools Stepping Down

(Colebrookdale, PA) -- The leader of the Boyertown area school district is retiring. Superintendent MaryBeth Torchia made the announcement at a recent board meeting, and says her last day will be August ninth. The late announcement leaves the district less than three months to find a new leader, which is a process that could take up to a year. Torchia says her greatest accomplishment as superintendent was the handling of schools during the coronavirus pandemic.
