Woman Accused Of Assaulting Trooper In Berks County

(Reading, PA) -- Bail is set at five-thousand-dollars for a woman accused of assaulting a state trooper during an incident in southern Berks County. Police say 63-year-old Kim Lapidus of Chester County was pulled over on Interstate 176 on Monday for allegedly going 95 miles per hour. Troopers smelled burnt marijuana in the vehicle, and Lapidus began fighting with them when they tried to place her in handcuffs. She's charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and DUI.
