Berks Residents Could See Big Raise In Taxes

(Berks County, PA) -- Berks County residents may soon see a big rise in their property taxes. This comes as Finance Director Robert Patrizio Junior has made a recommendation in the 2025 proposed budget to raise taxes by eight-percent. That rate would equal about nine-dollars per thousand-dollars of a property's worth. The proposed budget has a total price tag of more than 662-million-dollars. A vote to finalize the budget is expected to take place on December 19th.
