Reading Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting

Police in Reading, Pennsylvania, are investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning (December 3). Officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 block of Church Street around 5 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a 47-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Reading Hospital, where he is reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Authorities have described the suspect as a male, but no further details have been released. Police have stated that there is no believed threat to the public at this time.
